Andres Rubio, Sr.

December 28, 1962 — February 17, 2021

Andres Molina Rubio, Sr. 58, of Big Spring, Texas passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on February 17, 2021 at his home in Westminster, Colorado.  He was born on December 28, 1962 to Felix and Petra Rubio.  He was a lifelong resident of Big Spring, Texas before moving to Denver, Colorado in 1985 with his wife, Cindy Sosa Rubio.

Andy and Cindy were married on November 3, 1984 in Big Spring. A year later in 1985, they decided to begin their life and family in Westminster, where they resided until his passing. Together they raised three sons Andy Jr, Jeremy, and Mario. Andy was a kind, giving, and patient man, a loving husband, father, and grandfather, son, brother, uncle, cousin and friend to many. He was a dedicated fan of the Dallas Cowboys, enjoyed snowboarding, playing softball on a family co-ed team, going to the casino, playing cards and scratch tickets. Sunday was the day he loved the most. He spent them with his family watching football and listening to Spanish music. But most importantly, no matter where it was, he loved his family time. He took great pride in his hard work ethic and dedication to teaching his sons and nephews the skill of remodeling through his business Rubio Remodeling & Sons.

Throughout his life, his smile and laugh lit the room and lives of those around him. He was deeply loved and will be greatly missed. May his soul rest in eternal peace

He is survived by his wife Cindy Sosa Rubio, three sons: Andres (Ruby) Rubio Jr, Jeremy Rubio (Chantel Breedlove) and Mario Rubio (Angela Balcom) all from Westminster, CO. Ten beautiful Grandchildren: Jaylynn, Nisa, Ricco, Bristol, Larrisa, Elias, Jeremiah, Tatianna, Jason and Christian. Parents Felix Jr and Petra Rubio of Denver, CO. Sisters: Sally (Gilbert) Hinojosa of Aurora, CO; Janie (Armando) Galvan of Aurora, CO; Angie (Ray) Ortega of Denver, CO; Celsa (Al) Diaz of Aurora, CO; Helen Rubio (Hector) of Denver, CO; Brothers: Felix Rubio, III of Denver, CO; and Julian Rubio of Midland, TX along with many extended loving nieces, nephews, family members and friends.

Andres is preceded in death by his brother Gilbert Rubio of Big Spring, TX; grandparents, niece Teresa Ann Miller Rubio of Big Spring, TX and other family members and friends who welcomed him home.
