Chris Valdez passed away June 17, 2013 in Denver. He was born in Hoehne Colorado January 8th 1940. Beloved Husband of Joan Valdez, Father of Linda Stanfield, Todd Anthony, Grandfather of Miranda Stanfield, Brother of John Julia Valdez, Patrick Margo Valdez, Dolores Torres, Rosalie George Herrera, Barbara Martinez, Son in law of Delia Taschner, Survided By Numerous Nephews, Nieces, and many Relatives and Friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Christoval and Dina Valdez from Hoehne: brothers, Raymond, Alfred and Anthony Valdez, sister Isabel Valdez Padilla and Mary Ann Valdez Ricks.Chris enjoyed reading the bible and sharing what he learned with others, he enjoyed listening and singing to the music of Jose Alfredo Jimenez, as well as a variety of other music, he sat in with local Mariachi Groups in the Denver Area and Mexico, he also enjoyed traveling spending time with family, friends and pets. Chris and Joan owned the El Paso Cafe and Royal Motel in Trinidad, He helped manage LTD's on Colfax. He will be greatly missed.
