Ernest Duran

Ernest Anthony Duran, 60, entered this world on March 12, 1962. He was the first born to Loretta Leyba (Quintana). He was called up to Heaven to be with the Lord on January 9th, 2023 with his mother and brother by his side.

He was born in Cheyenne WY, raised in Denver, CO and eventually moved back to Cheyenne WY where he last resided. He was a loving son to his mother, father to his children, big brother to his three brothers and sister.

He enjoyed riding free on his Harley Davidson with family and friends. He was a long time member of B.A.C.A. (Bikers Against Child Abuse) International, Inc. He had so much compassion for the children and impacted many young lives.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents Ted and Elsie Leyba, uncle Ted Steve Leyba Sr., cousins Ted Steve Leyba Jr., Rufus Chavez and Isaac Trujillo.

He leaves behind his mother Loretta Leyba (Quintana), sons Anthony Velasquez and Joshua Medina, daughter Rebecca Duran, three granddaughters, one great granddaughter, his brothers Danny Duran, David Duran, Angelo Quintana and sister Christine (Tim) Pahuratana. He also leaves behind several nieces, nephews, aunts and cousins.
