Haley Christine Vargaz 16 was granted her wings on September 17, 2016. Her young life was taken by a senseless act of violence.

Haley was born on April 4, 2000 in Denver CO to parents Aureliano Vargaz and Emelda Herrera Vargaz. Haley was a junior at Thornton High school. She looked forward to continuing her education and wanted a career in the medical field. As a cancer survivor, she was inspired by the people who helped her and wanted to do the same for others. Haley was a beautiful, strong, and intelligent young woman who had been through so much at such a young age, yet that never seemed to break her or keep her from smiling. Her love for her family and friends exceeded all, she was proud to be the daughter, granddaughter, sister, niece, cousin and best friend to the people closest to her. Haley we are going to miss you greatly, our hearts have been forever broken as you were taken from us way to soon.

Haley is survived by her parents Aureliano and Emelda Vargaz, brother Jacob, grandparents Juana and Manuel Herrera and several aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
