It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Joe Montoya, who left us on March 26, 2025, at the age of 79. Joe was a cherished husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend—a man whose warmth and presence touched countless lives. A proud veteran, Joe served with honor in the 101st Airborne Division and carried that same dedication into his longtime membership with the Knights of Columbus. An ardent Denver Broncos fan, Joe’s loyalty to his team was unshakable, though he’d never hesitate to set aside a game for something far more important—time with his family. In the kitchen, he was a master, wielding his culinary talents with a signature mantra: “Never measure, never measure.” Each dish he crafted was a labor of love, and everyone fortunate enough to sit at his table had a favorite meal that lingered in both memory and heart. Joe’s legacy is one of love, service, and joy, forever etched in the lives of those who knew him.
