Manuel Ruiz, age 88, passed away on August 29th in Denver, Colorado. He was born on May 20, 1929 in Longmont, Colorado, the fifth child of Metodia Juana Rita Arroyo and Adolfo Calendonio Trinidad Ruiz. Manuel would have the total of twelve siblings growing up - seven brothers and five sisters. He is preceded in death by his parents and seven siblings, Robert Ruiz, Manuel (baby) Ruiz (b. 1925 and d. 1928), Adolph Ruiz, Joe Ruiz, Aurora Ruiz, Cora Ruiz-Sanchez (Spouse to Diomar Sanchez), and Mary E. Ruiz. Manuel is survived by his beloved wife, Esperanza Gonzalez Ruiz, whom he married on September 1, 1950; his children, David Ruiz, Samuel Ruiz, Linda Ruiz and Gloria Palomares (Victor Palomares); his grandchildren Carlos Ruiz, Andrew Ruiz, Vanessa Palomares, Michael Palomares, Kiya Lincoln and Isabel Ruiz; and his five siblings Nick Ruiz, Jess Ruiz, Ralph Ruiz, Flora Ruiz-Mills (Ralph Mills) and Mary Ruiz-Greenwalt (Tom Greenwalt).

A Celebration of Life Service will be held 6:30PM-8:30PM at Templo Gethsemani, 6690 Monaco Street, Commerce City, CO 80022. Interment will be Friday, September 8th at 10:30AM, Fort Logan National Cemetery, Staging Area "B", 3698 South Sheridan Boulevard, Denver, CO. There will be a reception following the burial at the Field House, 1600 Federal Boulevard, Denver, Colorado 80204, 11:30AM - 2PM.
