Reuben Martinez

Reuben Martinez, age 92, passed into the loving arms of his Savior and LORD, Jesus Christ on July 28, 2022. He was born to Isaias and Virginia Martinez in Alamosa, Colorado on August 22, 1929.

Reuben spent most of his life in Denver, Colorado. He eventually came to reside with his sister Corrine and her husband Joseph in 1959. He remained in his sister’s loving care until his passing. Reuben briefly served in the U.S. Army. He was stationed at Ft. Ord in San Francisco, CA. in 1948.

Reuben’s brothers William, Ernest, and Gilbert, and his sister Pauline-preceded him in death. Isaias remarried after the death of his wife Virginia, and he subsequently married Clara Medina. Reuben’s stepsister Jerry Willoughby preceded him in death. His surviving stepsisters are Jean Munford and Judy Dooley.

Reuben is survived by several nieces and nephews, cousins, and friends. Graveside service will take place at Ft. Logan National Cemetery on Tuesday, August 9th at 11:15AM at staging area C. Ft. Logan is located at 3698 S. Sheridan Blvd.
