William Ortiz

William Ortiz (aka Willie, El Boy) passed away on Friday, August 12, 2022 at the age of 79.

After a brief battle with pulmonary fibrosis Willie died peacefully with his beloved wife Norella, children and grandchildren by his side.

Willie was born on June 26, 1943, in Rowe, New Mexico to father Ambrosio and Estela Ortiz. Willie had 12 brothers and sisters

In 1964 Willie married Norella Montoya, his high school ‘honey’.   Willie and Norella moved to Denver later that year and started their family where they had 4 wonderful children.  Willie started his career in the drywall industry shortly after coming to Denver and after hard work, the passion he had for his job, and the joy of being around all his coworkers he became a staple in the drywall industry.

Willie is survived by his wife Norella, his 4 children, William David (Donna), Mark Edward (Laura), Laura  Marie (Louie) and Donny Andrew (Michele).  14 grandchildren, Desirae (Daniel), Charmaine, Issac, Chris (Roberta), Raelene (Ryan), Amber (Dominic), Crystal, Angelina (Jeremy), Donny Jr, Monea, Michal, Laila.  12 great grandchildren. 8 sisters, 4 brothers. He was predeceased by his grandsons Billy Jr., Samuel James, and Cruz and 2 brothers.

The funeral services will be at St Anthony of Padua Catholic Church, 3801 W Ohio Ave Denver, CO 80219, on Friday, August 19, 2022, Viewing from 9:30-10:30am, Rosary at 10:30am, Mass at 11am.  Reception will follow immediately after mass at in the St Anthony Hall.
